Yuzu (Citrus junos) comes with a crisp and radiant aroma that balances freshness with subtle floral depth. Its essential oil is rich in limonene, gamma-terpinene, and linalool—compounds well-documented for their ability to reduce stress markers and elevate mood. In a clinical study, Yuzu aroma inhalation was shown to significantly lower heart rate and serum cortisol levels, producing an effect comparable to meditation for stress relief.

From a skin health perspective, Yuzu exhibits strong antioxidant activity. Limonene helps protect against oxidative damage induced by UV and pollution exposure, while vitamin C derivatives in Yuzu can promote collagen synthesis, maintaining skin firmness and clarity. Topical application in appropriate dilution can thus contribute to a more luminous, resilient complexion.

Safety Notes: However, like many citrus oils, Yuzu can cause photosensitivity, so it is best applied during evening hours or on areas not exposed to sunlight.

Distilled from the blossoms of Citrus aurantium, neroli is cherished for its soothing and subtly floral scent. The flower is rich in linalool and nerolidol, which are known to reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality by modulating GABAergic neurotransmission. When using on the skin, its gentle antimicrobial and rejuvenating properties helps maintain clarity and balance.

Honeysuckle essential oil

These bright essential oils harmonize through their shared chemistry, as each is abundant in limonene, a compound noted for enhancing mood, supporting immunity, and exhibiting antibacterial effects. When combined, they create a vibrant citrus accord that complement Yuzu’s aromatic profile.

Safety notes: Citrus oils may cause photosensitivity, so you need to avoid sun exposure after use. Keep away from cats and dogs, as citrus oils may be harmful to them. For pregnant users, dilute well and avoid direct sunlight, or use only under medical guidance.

The hero base, organic jojoba oil, becomes the perfect anchor for all the essential oil ingredients. With its naturally balanced texture, it allows optimal diffusion of essential oils while retaining moisture when applying the perfume oil to hair and skin. In the context of haircare, it smooths the cuticle, prevents breakage, and delivers shine without heaviness.

Jojoba’s anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, coupled with its oxidation-resistant structure, make it the perfect carrier for delicate citrus essences, so that the perfume keep its freshness and stability.
